You're petsitting one of your friends dog who doesn't like the presence of your cat too much. At the curiousity of your cat of who's this "invader" of his space, she barks at him, which scares the bejesus out of him. Which makes he jump at her on self-defense. So you now added a couple of new deep scratch scars to your legs, but at least both pets remain unharmed. So you have to keep your bedroom door now closed at night and hear his meows through the door, complaining that he's getting excluded.
So you barely got any sleep.
Add the lack of sleep waking up to a morning when it's pouring outside and the realization that your umbrella is sitting pretty under your work desk right now. And you're not at work yet. And you have to take the bus. So you're dripping by the time you get to work.
And you're dying for some coffee to wake up. And you drink your coffee at your desk only to realize there's a problem with the lid of the cup. And your white shirt, the one that so far still looked nice and crisp thanks to the trench coat you were wearing during the rain, now is sporting a nice stain on it. And it's barely past 8am. It's a long time to wear a very stained white shirt. A now a stained and wet shirt thanks to a unsuccessful attempt to clean it at the bathroom sink.
So you're now divided between two thoughts...
"Everything went wrong, so the day can only get better, right?" Or
"What else is going to go wrong today?"

I think i have a tide pen in my purse you could borrow :-)
That would've been handy! Thankfully it's not as noticeable once it dried... Hope the shirt is not ruined for good :(
